From its humble beginning as a small retailer, Alba created in 1995 a manufacturing division producing Divans & mattresses. Alba began to grow and have since carved their name in the UK as a company that provides quality products supported by reliable service. Three years later in 1998, Alba extended its product range by adding dining furniture to its collection. This move further strengthened the company's position within the industry. Due to a strong demand from its customers Alba started importing and distributing the full range of solid rubber wood, pine and metal furniture by June 2000. In 2001, tragedy struck when the factory and warehouse were totally destroyed in a fire. Due to the unity and dedication of more than 50 employees the company recommenced operations within six days. In 2002, Alba acquired additional new larger premises of 40,000 sq feet factory warehouse in Essex. By this time, Alba was already marketing 180 different products of quality home furnishing. This was also the period in which Alba started to build and develop important connections in other parts of Europe, Brazil, China, Taiwan and Malaysia. Currently, Alba has joint production ventures worldwide to better serve the growing market and to ensure constant supply in a more cost effective manner promising and maintaining the excellent quality.
